Many of you already know this backstory, but for those that don't, here's the short version. While Dan was away a few months ago on a golf trip Lorelai and I were hanging out in her room. I thought it would be funny to take a picture of her sitting in a laundry basket. By the time I was able to grab the camera to "point and shoot" she was already standing up. I was surprised to say the least. Here are a few shots of that mother-daughter morning together.
My cousin, Christine, gave Lorelai this learning center. In the beginning she just sat in front of it and played with it, but as she has started standing up more and more, it's serving double duty as an educational tool and a wall to hold onto. Feel sure she was entranced with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or some other Playhouse Disney show as I could not get her to look at the camera.
We got her a 2-in-1 toy that changes from a "walker" into a car. Usually she puts her weight forward and the toy ends up rolling away from her. This was a rare occurrence when her weight was very well balanced.

This exercsaucer was very graciously given to Lorelai by my two cousins, Sarah and Katie, and their mother, my Aunt Evelyn. Typically she sits in the seat and plays with the piano. Lately she has started pulling up on the outside and tries to walk around to check out the other features it has to offer. They grow up so fast! :)
