Puzzler

One of Lorelai's newest passions is completing puzzles all on her own. This past weekend she finished both 24- and 48-piece puzzles without any help at all! Here is the master puzzle maker with her creations.

Labor Day Party 2010

Christine and Ken hosted a Labor Day party at their house. Everyone had a great time and it was a wonderful way to end our stay before heading back to South Carolina and having to get back to the "real world"~so to speak.

Dan and Lorelai had a blast in the bouncy house.

After all of the jumping around it was time to take a dip in the pool to cool off. Lorelai wore the bathing suit I got for her, so naturally it's my favorite! I love how bright and colorful it is.

Dapper Dan.

Toward the end of the evening we tried for some group photos. We got a great picture of Christine and me.
The first few group shots were attempts to get the girls together. That didn't work out so well. Usually at least one of us wasn't looking at the camera or smiling.

Eventually we threw Miller into the mix. While I do admittedly always strive for perfection in family photos, in my heart of hearts I guess I know that this is what a happy family photo should look like~filled with LAUGHTER and LOVE!!

Hangin' at the Beach House

We begin the day with artsy Lorelai painting on the island at Christine's house in Destin.Time for a chocolatey treat.

We tried to let Miller bang a wooden spoon on the floor to make some music, but it broke into two pieces almost immediately. We had to improvise with the frisbee plates from The Backporch restaurant. He didn't seem to mind one bit.

Time to sell pizzas!
And eat them!

Sugar Cookies for Christmas

Posing in her new "opro" from Aunt Carol. Flouring the countertop.

Trying out her new cookie cutters from Grandmother. They ended up not working quite as well as we'd hoped~sadly I'm not much of a baker~so we ended up just making regular shaped sugar cookies.

Since Lorelai wasn't much for smiling for the camera I begged her to do anything~even if it was just sticking her tongue out.

The dough was a bit stickier than we'd planned on.

That face says it all~she's certainly having fun!

Don't worry~this batch of dough didn't get eaten.

After a hard day in the kitchen, cleaning up is imperative. It kills me how grow up she looks!
