Build-A-Bear Birthday Bash

On May 8th Sierra turned the big "0-4." She celebrated this milestone in a very creative way: by having her party at Build-A-Bear. Each child got to choose a bear or puppy. It was a wonderful way to mark this very special occasion.

The birthday girl. It even says so on her shirt.
Miller chillin' with his friends.

Lorelai running, as usual. If I could bottle her energy I'd make a fortune!
The birthday girl's mom...
...and dad.
A pretty picture of my sweet niece.
Miller listening intently to instructions on what to do next.
Another mom with a camera glued to her hands. Sound like anyone else we know?
My super-handsome husband.
Daddy lending a hand so Miller's bear can have a heart.
Lorelai grabbed a few, too.

Good times with Pap and Chase.

Very excited that she's next in line.
She's made two other stuffed animals at Build-A-Bear, but this was the first time she was brave enough to push the pedal herself. (She doesn't like the noise that the machine makes.) She was very proud.
Lorelai and Puppy.
Sierra and her new friend. Didn't catch his/her name.
Took more than a dozen pictures of the group, but none of them came out great because I had to take it from pretty far away to fit everyone in. Tried to also get a few good ones of Lorelai and Miller. This was the best one of the bunch.

Yummy cookie cake!!

Another great picture of Dan. Cropped Miller out but you can still see the corner of our fair-haired boy.

Sierra showing off her gift from us. She was really excited!

Budding Artist

After having lunch with my parents on Mother's Day (pictures to follow in a later post), the Fab Four headed to downtown Greenville for Artisphere. Lorelai loves anything to do with painting, drawing, etc. and we figured this would be right up her alley.

First, Lorelai made the classic macaroni necklace.
Getting ready to try her hand at painting--Jackson Pollack style.

This was the final brush stroke. She gave the finished masterpiece to Ma for Mother's Day.
What good would an art project be if you didn't end up wearing at least some of it?!
Sporting a Hawaiian shirt as only he can. More pictures of his smashing ensemble to follow in later posts, as well. (Know this picture doesn't really have anything to do with art, but it was taken downtown so I included it in this post.)

Play Day While Daddy's Away

Here are some pictures I took while Dan was away on his golf trip.Think she looks so beautiful in this one.

Stylin' in shades.

Love this one, too.
Three terrific shots of Miller man.

Out by 8

We've been working on potty training with Lorelai. Last week I was feeding Miller in our room and called out to Lorelai to see if she needed to "go potty." She didn't answer me. I went into the den and this was the scene I found before me. Nothing like crashing on the couch before 8:00. I'm so jealous!!
