"Espresso Shots"

Ok, it's actually decaf coffee with sugar free creamer-but to this three year old, it might as well be Starbucks. Last week before settling down for her nap Lorelai had some vanilla caramel coffee and banana muffins. Quite the sophisticated palate we're fostering.

Mmmmm!!!!!!!
Blissfully serene while thinking about her decaffeinated treat.
Have you ever seen anyone more precious?!

Barista Baby

Lorelai's newest obsession is coffee~both making and drinking (decaf). She takes after her mom and Ma in that way. Ma has a fancy single serve coffee maker and is turning Miss Lorelai into quite the little barista.Putting in the single serving of coffee.

Great things come to those who wait.
This many minutes, to be exact.
Giving the creamer a little shake up while we wait.Be sure to tip your barista!!!

Haunted Brownie Houses

The first step to making the houses-greasing the pans. I modeled the first one and she did the second one by herself.

Showing off her handiwork.
First in goes the brownie batter.
She cracked both eggs all by herself and didn't leave any shells behind. Way to go, Lorelai!

Mixing up some fun.
Just a tiny taste.
Putting some elbow grease into it.
Just more taste test before it goes in the oven.

The beautifully decorated haunted house. She was so meticulous about the placement of each candy. How precious!!

Cousins Chowing Down

Each week after church the gang heads to Atha's for dinner. Every now and then Sierra and Chase join us for some added fun. This was one of those occasions.

Pap and Chase checking out the daily specials.
Our happy Miller Man pre-first haircut.

The lovely Sierra.
The giggling, gorgeous Lorelai with her Pap.
I swear, sometimes those two could pass for sisters.

I told Lorelai to make a face for the camera and this is what she did. Well, you get what you ask for.

Goin' to the Zoo

The weekend before Halloween we made the trek down to Columbia to check out the Riverbanks Zoo. Ma and Pap were kind enough to join us. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. Dan wanted to wait until Lorelai was able to identify most of the animals before taking her, so this was her first trip ever to the zoo (It was Miller's first time, also).

Waiting outside of the ticket booth~very excitedly.

Feeding the goats.
Waiting for her turn at the pony rides. Our little equestrian in the making.
They gave her the smallest helmet they had but it was still too big, so she had to hold onto the pony with one hand while holding onto her helmet with the other.

Gazing at the zebras from afar.
Once the zebras noticed us they decided to come over for a visit.
Miller trying to climb up for a better look.
Getting help from Ma so he could check out the zebras that came up to see us.
Taking a leisurely ride on the train.
Attempting a few group photos. This is the one that ended up at the top of the blog.
Lorelai cooperated the best in the first picture. She started to fade after that becasue she wanted to go ride the carousel. Miller did the best in the second and third pictures.

A sweet autumnal picture of Dan and me.
Finally getting to ride the carousel.
As the zoo was getting ready to close we ducked into the koala exhibit, and believe it or not the koala was actually awake and moving around! (Probably because it knew it was closing time.)
