This year we went downtown to the Hyatt in a vain attempt to take our Christmas card photos again. I use the word "attempt" because last year 2 of the 3 pictures on our card were from the photo shoot and this year only one made it. What can I say? I'm very picky. This post shows the ones that were pretty good, just not what I would consider "Christmas card worthy." Thea Caro was once again our fabulous photographer.
My beautiful, blond, blue-eyed boy. I'm not big on character/theme-y type stuff, so this Argyle sweater my mom picked out was perfect!!
Next, it was time to trim the tree. In other words, they took ornaments off so they had to put them back.

We tried our best to get a picture of the two kids together in front of a tree, but they weren't having any of it. Our next idea was to get props involved. Two rather large reindeer were close by so we sat the kiddos atop them and here's a sample of what we got. The others ended up on what I am affectionately referring to as the "gag" reel. I had intended for this to be our Christmas card photo and for Dan and me to not make an appearance this year, but they were just far enough apart that the reindeer's antlers got cut off. Not nearly good enough for this perfectionist.
Back to the happy couple. Love that we're standing in front of the "Grinch" tree.
