Most of the time while we were in Destin it rained. One of the few times that the clouds parted we decided to hit the beach. As was the case with this trip in many aspects, as you will see in future posts, this was also Lorelai's first time at the beach.
Since the weather was so unpredictable we were not planning on going to the beach that day, therefore we were not prepared with the appropriate wardrobe. She didn't seem to mind, though. She also didn't seem to mind getting her feet dirty in the sand....
...but when she fell down, she refused to put her hands down to help herself up, as she can't stand having her hands dirty.
She managed to get herself up using just her leg strength and upper body balance. Pretty impressive.
Next, we went to scope out the big, bad ocean.
Now she's going to brave it alone...
...or is she?
