Usually only the kids dress up for Halloween, but this year we all decided to hop into a time machine and head back to the 1950s so we could all enjoy the festivities that Halloween had to offer. My mom made poodle skirts for Lorelai and me and Thea Caro was kind enough to get a leather jacket for Miller so he could dress up as a Greaser. We slicked back his hair, threw on some high top Converse sneakers, and he was ready to rock 'n' roll.
It's hard to tell in this picture, but Lorelai has on some pink and white saddle shoes. She was the picture of 1950s teeny bopper perfection.
Miller would have made The Fonz proud.

Haunted Halloween
The kids had two costumes this year-one to wear to daycare on Friday and one to wear trick-or-treating on Saturday night. On Friday Lorelai was a ladybug and Miller was a dragon.
By far the loveliest ladybug I've ever seen! The ruby slippers are an excellent touch!

Cruisin' at Copper River Grill
Although you can't actually tell it from these select pictures, this specific location was chosen for dinner so that Miller could cruise the patio while the adults ate. Since Miller officially joined the ranks of the walkers about 6 weeks ago, he has truly become a force to be reckoned with. It really is a case of "once he started, he hasn't stopped." He is truly a sight to behold-and a precious one at that.

Getting Married
My parents bought Lorelai a princess vanity mirror. She loves sitting at it and she always says that she's "getting married," although I think what she really means it that she's "getting ready." Anyway, I gave her some old makeup brushes and containers and here she is "getting married."

A Day with Thea Caro and Mary Beth
What better way to spend an afternoon than at Barnes and Noble with Thea Caro and Mary Beth?
We start by munching on the trains.

A Baker in the Making
My mom gave Lorelai a baker's set for Christmas and a few weeks ago we finally got around to using it. (Don't worry-it only came with the apron and utensils. We bought fresh cupcake mix!)
Modeling the very snazzy apron-or as Lorelai calls it-her Opro.
All prepped and ready to go.
